ROLE PURPOSE The Intern Clinical Data Manager will support AcroMetrics in the setup, maintenance and quality oversight of clinical and health research databases. The role provides practical exposure to clinical data management, electronic data capture systems, case report forms, data validation, data query management, reporting and study documentation. Working under the supervision of experienced data managers and other team members, the intern will support the data lifecycle from database design and testing through live-study data review and preparation for database lock, while developing a strong understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other professional clinical research standards. Clinical Database Setup and EDC Support Development and understanding of clinical data management principles, clinical trials, study phases, Good Clinical Practice and data protection requirements, including Support the setting-up, configuration and routine administration of Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems and study databases. Assist with the development of case report forms (CRFs), fields, variables, validation rules, branching logic and database structures. Review study protocols and data collection requirements and help translate them into practical database Support user access, mobile data collection, CRF testing and basic database troubleshooting activities. Maintain clear database build notes, configuration records and change Work with study teams to ensure data collection tools are clear, consistent and suitable for their intended Data Quality, Cleaning and Query Management Run and interpret data validation checks to identify missing, inconsistent or potentially inaccurate Review data listings and reports, document findings clearly and escalate issues Write clear data queries and support query resolution workflows with study teams and data entry Track open and resolved queries and support timely follow-up under appropriate Support ongoing data reviews, data cleaning activities, interim reviews and preparation for database lock Validation, UAT and Issue Management Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and maintain complete, accurate and traceable testing Test fields, branching logic, calculations, validation rules, user roles, reports and study Record defects and observations clearly, support retesting and maintain accurate issue Support the preparation and review of validation documents, test scripts and validation Check implemented changes against approved requirements and follow relevant change control procedures.
