Job Title: Director, Grade 11 Number of Vacancies: One (1) position QUALIFICATIONS Master’s Degree in Governance & Decentralization, Public Administration/Development Studies with a Minimum of five (5) years practical experience in Local Governance or related field. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Acts as Chief Adviser to the Permanent Secretary, MOLRG on matters concerning local governance and related issues Formulates and coordinates the implementation of policies and strategies on decentralization and local government reforms Responsible for professional conduct, supervision and staff development/training Collaborates with all stakeholders in regulating Local Governance and Decentralization standards Regulates, coordinates and monitors the implementation of the Local Government Act 2002, Finance and Audit Act of 2004 Ensures the proper utilization of resources under his/her charge Prepares the budget for the Directorate Formulates and develops the annual work plan of the Directorate SKILLS Communication Report writing Analytical skills Budgeting Technical skills Policy process SALARY The salary attached to the position is Grade 11, of the New Government Integrated Pay Scale, i.e., D155,580 (One hundred and Fifty-Five thousand, Five hundred and Eighty Dalasi) per annum.
