Commercial & Business Operations Manager

Job Overview Department: Commercial & Business Operations Reports To: Managing Director / General Manager Job Purpose The Commercial & Business Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the company’s commercial activities across Retail & Wholesale, Sourcing & International Trade, Agribusiness, and Food Business Operations, including restaurants and bakery operations. The role is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing suppliers and business partners, strengthening operational efficiency, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring that all business units operate profitably and in line with the company’s strategic objectives. The successful candidate will provide leadership across the various business areas while ensuring effective procurement, inventory management, sales, customer service, financial performance, quality control, and regulatory compliance. Key Duties and Responsibilities Retail & Wholesale Operations Oversee the day-to-day operations of retail and wholesale Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, market share, and Manage product sourcing, pricing, inventory, merchandising, and Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities for business Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and business Ensure efficient stock management and minimize wastage, losses, and stock- Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor Develop wholesale partnerships and expand distribution Ensure high standards of customer service and product Sourcing & International Trade Identify and evaluate local and international suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and Lead sourcing and procurement activities for products, raw materials, equipment, and other business Negotiate prices, payment terms, contracts, and delivery schedules with Coordinate import and export activities, ensuring timely delivery of Maintain knowledge of international trade practices, customs procedures, shipping, and documentation Monitor international market trends and identify profitable sourcing Manage supplier relationships and conduct regular supplier performance Ensure compliance with applicable trade, customs, tax, and regulatory Work closely with logistics providers, clearing agents, and financial institutions where Agribusiness Operations Develop and manage agribusiness activities, including sourcing, production, aggregation, processing, distribution, and marketing of agricultural products. Identify commercially viable opportunities across agricultural value Build relationships with farmers, cooperatives, aggregators, processors, buyers, and other Coordinate the sourcing of quality agricultural products and raw Monitor seasonal availability, pricing, quality, and market Develop strategies to reduce post-harvest losses and improve supply-chain Explore opportunities for value addition, processing, packaging, and market Monitor agribusiness financial performance and Promote sustainable and commercially viable agricultural Food Business Operations – Restaurant & Bakery Oversee the overall operations of restaurant and bakery Ensure consistent product quality, food safety, hygiene, and customer service Monitor food production, inventory, purchasing, and stock Develop and review menus, bakery products, pricing, and product offerings in line with market Control food costs, wastage, operating expenses, and inventory Monitor daily sales and business performance against established Coordinate staff scheduling, performance, training, and operational Maintain strong relationships with food suppliers and service Identify opportunities for new products, promotions, catering services, and revenue Ensure compliance with applicable food safety, health, labour, and business Business Development & Growth Identify new markets, products, services, and investment Develop and implement business growth Conduct market researc…
