Administrative - Business development - Communication & Public Relations - Data Management - Installation / Maintenance - IT / Engineering - Monitoring and Evaluation - Operations - Other - Record Keeping and Reporting - Repair and Maintenance Job Overview A reputable company is seeking a highly skilled IT Specialist (System and Database), under the supervision of the System and Database unit lead, is mainly responsible for maintaining the company’s proprietary Systems, providing System, Application and database support for the underlying infrastructure. The IT Specialist is also involved in a wide array of projects that complement the company’s service quality and performance. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Applications and systems deployment, installation, maintenance, administration, and troubleshooting. Configure and maintain database operative system servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. Configure databases to maintain data retention, redundancy, security and confidentiality. Coordinates regularly with third parties such as manufacturers and partners. Manage system Reports, Infrastructure documents and ongoing System Optimizations. Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure the system releases are working properly before deployment in production Follow up and address all tickets assigned to the system and database unit by the onsite technicians or colleagues from different units. Develop custom tools to help with installation, maintenance, support and reporting objectives. Provide general IT Support and consultation to all departments in the organization. Involve in all phases of any ad-hoc IT project that may be requested by upper management. Contribute to the software development and implementation objectives (e.g. revision upgrades; emergency modifications; etc.) by coordinating all requirements between the development center and the local operation and seamlessly implementing these changes in the production environment. Arrange project requirements through thorough analysis, preparing corresponding workflow charts and diagrams using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter expertise, programming language, and logic. Maintain documentation of all the system and database components Maintains client confidence and protects the operation by keeping all exchanged information confidential, and by always providing an exceptional service. SKILLS: MS SQL Server Administration experience required. Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools. High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server. Installation and administration of Windows Server environments (2016 & 2019). Administration of Kubernetes and dockers environment. Administration of Microsoft Hyper-V, Backups, restores and recovery models. Administration of VMware EXSI and vCenter. Flexible, team player, “get-it-done” personality. Ability to organize and plan work independently. Familiarity with programming languages API Proficient in at least one programming language such as Java,.NET, or Python Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment. Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams. REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor’s degrees from an accredited college in Computer Science or related discipline. Experience: 5+ years managing Windows Servers, Linux Server, MS-SQL, and storage. Equivalent combination of Education and/or Experience accepted. Other: Must have excellent reading, writing, and speaking abilities in Designated Country Local Language. Must have excellent reading, writing, and speaking abilities in English. MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) is required AWS certification is a plus.
