Job Title: Documentalist, Grade 8 Number of Vacancies: One (1) position Qualifications: Direct Entry: Bachelor’s in Library and Information Sciences, Archival Studies or related fields. Duties and Responsibilities Overseeing the overall operations of the Documentation Centre assisted by the support staff. Supervising the collection, classification of the books and documents, typing catalogue cards and disseminating information monthly about new holdings. The visiting of the technical departments within the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources in order to collect documents, research reports and various reports on Gambian Agriculture and Natural Resources. The establishment of exchange programmes with Agricultural institutions both internally and externally; and To train Library Assistants within the technical departments of Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources in Agricultural Information Processing. Salary The salary attached to the position is Grade 8 of the New Government Integrated Pay Scale, i.e. GMD 101, 892.00 ( One Hundred and one Thousand, Eight Hundred and Ninety-two Dalasi) Per Annum.
